Hardwood Crossarm Supply

DTM Timber is a long-standing supplier of Australian hardwood crossarms to the electricity distribution industry. Crossarms have formed a core product line for more than 25 years and are supplied throughout Australia, New Zealand and Pacific utility markets.

Hardwood crossarms are widely used throughout overhead electrical networks where durable timber members are required to support conductors, insulators and pole-top equipment. DTM supplies products ranging from standard utility requirements through to project-specific manufactured solutions.

Crossarms continue to be widely used across utility networks due to their proven performance, durability and suitability for demanding service environments. Hardwood remains a practical solution for maintenance programs, replacement projects and new infrastructure works where strength and long-term field performance are important.

DTM’s integrated sawmill, treatment and manufacturing facilities provide control over milling, grading, machining, drilling and treatment operations to support quality and supply consistency.

Utility & Distribution Applications

DTM Timber crossarms can be supplied in multiple configurations ranging from bare undrilled blank crossarms through to fully prepared products manufactured to customer requirements.

Additional options may include pre-drilling, shunt plating, end nail plating, painting and stencilling depending on utility specifications and project requirements.

Manufacturing Options

DTM Crossarms are pressure treated with CCA to H3 level in accordance with AS 1604 requirements for above-ground use.

H3 treatment assists with resistance to fungal attack, termite activity and wood-boring insects, supporting long-term performance in exposed environments.

Crossarm end faces are protected using gang plates and end sealer to assist with long-term durability and service performance.
